troubled waters

troubled waters bring mud
to the surface
shuts out the sun’s rays
my soul shivers.

my soul hovers over the pool
at Bethesda, and watches the murky
waters deliver my dreams to another.

peace ripples the cogitations of my soul
speaks stillness to the entropy.

dreams do not stay tranquil
alive, they kick
trouble the waters.

my soul is murky
sedimented dreams rise to the
surface, shuts out the sun.
I shiver.

  1. Something bout ‘Troubled Waters’ brings to mind lines reeled out by one of the finest, most prestigious individual and a Sage in his own right…to ever come out of Nigeria..’the’ Legendary Pa. Tai Solarin! He used to say…’May your road be rough’ to those who happened by him as a form of ‘goodwill’! At first, I’d found that line appalling…..a bad omen of sorts; but I later realized that ‘Straight roads do not make skillful drivers’; as surmised by Paulo Coelho and I think to myself…’Wow Baba, Such Depth and Wisdom’!πŸ˜‚

And as with ‘Troubled Waters’; in this instance, there’s something good to be taken away from it though it be pretty chaotic! As is with the school of life, some things oft times never really appear as they seem! 😊

Plus, the infirmed man by the pool who’d been so afflicted for 38years serves as a huge inspiration for me! Here’s a man who was incapacitated, yet undeterred and hoping against hope! He went to the pool annually without fail, and am guessing too that he’d have wondered at some point how his healing would ever come about with no help in sight! But then comes Jesus Christ…’The Bridge Over Troubled Waters’; bringing with Him mercy, healing and life! The man’s healed without having to take a dip! That’s just super-amazing…..mind bungling!πŸ˜‡πŸ˜

I love how you thrashed out this concept of ‘Troubled Waters’ Doc! Its very inspirational as well as heartfilling and heartfeeling….drips of wisdom!πŸ˜ƒ

I do also wish for this Narrator, who’s pretty shaken and shivering still; πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜† ‘Love, Peace and Soul’ in the soothing words of the mighty soft-spoken, late Legend Don Cornelius of the ‘Soul Train’ fame! Shalom!β€πŸ˜„

      1. Hehehe! You do know that you pretty much sound like the cat’s meow right now Doc, don’t you??? πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜† Plenty Cute and adorable nonetheless! I totally like! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜

Sage huh?! Takes one to know Doc and trust me when I say this…’You’re alright..for always’! πŸ˜‰β€

drop me a line, maybe?
