Happy New Year Folks.
Welcome to 2016, another 365 day journey with an extra day – February the 29th, which shows up every four years.
As you journey through, endeavor to:

1. Be Happy.

Life has devised a system to give you a clean slate to work with. You can ignore the mess of last year- it’s in the past. Look forward with hope and optimism.

2. Be Realistic.

This year is an extension of past years. Actions and inactions of the past might catch up with you. Consequences of previous decisions will be a part of the issues you will be faced with, both good and bad.

Life is broken into smaller chunks to help us deal with it one chunk at a time. This is another chunk of 365 days, make something good out of it.

3. Be Hardworking

Nothing good ever comes handed on a platter of gold. Even miracles are preceded by acts of faith.

Build on last year: work on your weaknesses, develop your strengths, always remember to apply lessons you have learnt. Strengthen the good relationships cultivated, walk away from unproductive alliances.

Always be busy, do something, and always move forward. Keep learning, keep applying knowledge, keep growing.

4. Be Deliberate.

Take deliberate steps towards achieving your goal. Success is never accidental, it is a product of careful planning and meticulous execution of plans coupled with patience and persistence.

Acquire knowledge, improve yourself daily and take purposive decisions.

Remember that a boat not paddled drifts wherever the currents takes it. Steer your boat in the direction you want to go.

5. Be Connected.

There is a Higher power that makes things possible, not easy, but possible.
Connect to God, He is the Living Spring, the Source of life and wisdom and success.
Don’t take things for granted, don’t get cocky.

When you are confused, ask Him for guidance; when you are sure, ask Him for confirmation, it never hurts to be doubly sure.

Don’t rely on your strength, it will fail.
When you are down, reach out to Him; when you are up, hold on to Him.
Guilt laden, call to Him. Whatever happens to you, keep God close.

6. Be Positive.

Things will always not go as planned, there will be hard times, dark days and challenges. Always maintain a positive outlook. Have a healthy dose of optimism. Things will always work out for the best, believe it, and say it out loud as often as you can.

It is good.

I wish you a mind blowing 365 days, the best days of your life yet.
Happy new year!
