A very brilliant poem! Simple yet so deep and enriching! A bleeding heart with a deeply etched gash, so beautifully denoted by the peeled and bruised Oak Tree, with its sap leaking from its bark! Good thing though is that it can be salvaged either by treating using some tested horticultural procedures and practises, or if left by itself, it heals over time and bounces back to full health. Only problem being that it’d be scarred of course, but yet; it lives on! Kudos, this was so well thought out, fascinating!

Yes, the scar never goes away…the bruised heart never becomes whole again…
      Thanks for dropping by

    Jesus took this and more
He was bruised for my iniquity
I don’t have to suffer any more
I am paid for, my liberty is paid for.

    Cheer up, it gets better.
