The Gift

What I get for nothing,
Cost You everything;
You gave it for free,
But it comes at great a price;
It took your life,
Just to hand mine back.

It is priceless – your free gift;
Nothing compares to its value;
Its worth cannot be estimated;
It’s a world of possibilities.

To lose it is my greatest fear;
To despise or demean it, my worst nightmare;
It cost me nothing
But it means everything.

    Its often said that the best things in life are free. The air we breathe in and the gift of salvation. You were able to capture all that salvation entails in this poem and may we not lose it IJN, Amen. Worthy of note also is the fact that we did not choose Him, He chose us and counted us worthy of His special gift to humanity. Accepting the free gift of salvation is only made possible by the prodding of the Spirit. Kudos and more grace.

      Amen o, may we not lose the greatest gift…and like John said “how great is the Father’s love, that we should be called sons of God ”
